Enhancing Your Community Connections

In addition to its weekly food deliveries across the country, HSF hosts community-wide food distribution events in partnership with national corporations, local businesses and volunteer networks. These special events take place in at-risk communities and often involve professional sports teams. Each adult guest receives two bags of groceries. There are also special programs and treat bags for children.
  • The Hunger Strike Force will organize food distributions highlighting your company.
  • You can choose your targeted community and marketing the event will enhance your image as a company that cares.
  • One community distribution can feed thousands. Involve hundreds of volunteers, including your employees, during one event.
  • Your company logo can be placed on one of our trucks offering you the marketing opportunity to be seen as a "company that cares about America's communities".

Food Distribution Sponsorship

Individuals and companies can sponsor an entire tractor-trailer load of food, basic necessities, and needed supplies to at-risk children and their families into their local community for just $3,000 per truckload! Your sponsored delivery is trucked to a predetermined site and the subsequent food distribution is coordinated through our network of local partnering agencies. This is a wonderful opportunity for your company to help people in need in your local area and provide your employees with a great way to volunteer as a team.

Project W.I.N. Sponsorship

Sponsor a Project WIN nutrition course in your community.

Project WIN (Winning Is Nutrition) is a 3-component program designed by the Hunger Strike Force to provide nutrition education to children and families living in at-risk communities. Program components include a community task force, community health agencies, and the Hunger Strike Force in its network of business partnerships.

The community task force is responsible for the implementation of Project WIN nutrition education classes. To accomplish this, each task force leader is trained by a Hunger Strike Force staff member and is given a resource kit containing nutrition education programs and a written curriculum guide for lesson planning. Community health agencies provide additional educational resources and supportive staff to help facilitate the classes. The Hunger Strike Force works with community businesses to provide resources such as food, exercise equipment, gift certificates and more. The Hunger Strike Force monitors the success of each program through various assessment tools.

Project WIN not only provides nutrition education to children living in at-risk communities, but every child who participates in the program is given a free bag of groceries following each class. This provides an opportunity to reach out to the families of the children with the message that we care!
